My grandfather Wilfred G. "WG" Shannon was a "Fusser" at the ball held on Friday, October, 22, 1915 at the Merrill Opera House (Eddy Street), Merrill, MI. Other "Fussers" that night were: John T. Hall, Arthur F. Hall, Walter W. Wirth, Henry J. Smith, Thomas G. Daley, Lindley A. Walking, William McCulloch, James Rust, Richard Hodges, William H. Rust, Bryan Cuthbertson and Ed Rogers. Anyone else researching these names and have an idea just what the Fussers Ball was? I'm thinking it was something like a "most eligible bachelor" thing because he met my grandmother Caroline "Musa" Warner there and they were married in 1917. Daley later became the Saginaw City Controller and he and WG were delegates to the GOP convention held in Detroit...
