If you live in Michigan, you can go to any library in the state and log onto Ancestor Plus. There is no charge for this. First you go to mel.org which puts you into the State of Michigan Library site. Then log on by clicking "Log on at a library or school". This puts you into the place where you can find Ancestor Plus. Scroll down the page until you find "Genealogy". It's on the right hand side of the page. Under that, you will find Ancestor Plus. Click on that. Type in your ancestor's name and the state where you think he may have lived. You can also put in the time period in which you think he may have lived. Click on 'search' and you will be given a number of places to look for the person that you are researching. Just follow the instructions to find what you want. If your ancestor lived long enough to have collected social security, he should be listed in the Social Security Death Index. That would list the place where he lived at the time of his death. That is available on Ancestor Plus. The 1920 census should have listed his wife's name if she was still alive. Have you checked the 1910 or 1930 census? You can do that in Ancestor Plus, also. Hope this is some help to you. Leota Kajdas
