    3. He is in the 1920 census, it says he has a wife, but it is possible that they lived apart. The 1920 census she is in a different state, however it says she is married but her husband is also not with her, and the 1930 says she is widowed. What age would someone be to collect Social Security income? He would have been 63 in 1930. Thankyou for replying. I looked at Ancestor Plus, I couldn't get any information on any spelling of Parthan. I do not live in Michigan would that make a difference? Do you know if there is a Detroit, Wayne Michigan genealogy group that does research. I am aware that individual researchers charge much more, and I cannot do that. Thankyou for your assistance. 3. The "Social Security Act" was part of Presidents Herbert Hoover's "New Deal" and was not created until 1935.
