About 10 years ago I took out all the negatives from the 30's -- 40's and the 50s. Put into two piles - One pile to be printed on 5 x 7 and the other 3 x 5. These pictures especially the ones from the 40's are clearer and brighter than any photo I have taken in the last 20 years. The cost was $225.00. Not sure how many -- but quite a stack. Recently I found black and white film at Target and thought I would take some pictures to add to the family album believing that they would be ever as clear as the older ones I had done. Went three places before I returned to Target and had them developed. They came back with a pink cast to them -- and they are not to good. Its a shame -- the black and white offer a clarity that is not present with color.
