Hello! I am researching the women of the Alaska Garnet Mining & Manufacturing Co., formed by ten women in Minneapolis, MN in 1906. Anna E. Rose, wife of Edward, was one of the women who formed the corporation. They lived in Caledonia and then in Corunna. She was living in Corunna at the time of the incorporation and then went to live with her daughter, Minnie Towler, in Minneapolis until her death. In addition, Julia Durkee was living in Corunna about 1896 until about 1900. She may have lived alone, lived with "adopted" daughter Anna E. Durkee, or with other family members in Corunna. Julia and Anna were from New York and according to census records, Edward Rose was also from New York.
