Pat, Can you tell me exactly where the oldest documents for St. Patrick's Cemetery are located and who maintains them? I'm searching for the grave of my great-great-grandfather Robert Shannon who died April 7, 1892. His death was recorded on May 11, 1892 in the Gratiot County Book "A"; Page 211 record 26. I'm pretty sure he was buried next to his granddaughter Maria Eleanor Shannon Pinkerton's grave with her headstone giving 1899 as her death date. It took me quite awhile to find records for a couple of cemeteries in Saginaw County but the sexton had the original layouts so I'm hoping the same will be found in Gratiot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Kevin, I have tried to get through to the church today which is actually a part of Mount St. Joseph according to the Saginaw Diocese pages for you, since it was a local call for me. All I am getting is an answering machine even though the calls were within their administrative hours.
