My great grandmother's last name was Fletcher. When she married, on the marriage certificat it showed Martha Fletcher Elsworth. Does her last name mean she was married before taking on the Hoffman's name? I know that her last name is Fletcher because on the marriage certificate it states her father's name as John Fletcher.
