    1. [MI-GENEALOGY] Library of Michigan - the ones who won't be there....

    3. Have anyone considered the use of placards with names of users and cities they are of, to show the support for the ones who will be there, that is having the ones who will be there to carry the placards. This should show the boundary of Library of Michigan is not limited to Michigan but way beyond. W. David Samuelsen, user of HAL's online records.

    3. So David, does this mean you won't be flying in from Salt Lake to help support us in this endeavor, with the banner for USGenWeb supports the Library of Michigan? 3. Just possibly it means that he WILL be there, as a highly-respected researcher who recognizes the value of the Library of Michigan even though he's not a resident of Michigan. Along with others doing likewise. How many of us *out there* intend to be there on Wednesday, August 5 to show "the powers that be" that we DO care and are willing to show it publicly? And how many of us have spread the word so that others can show support, too? We should have carloads and busloads and individuals and groups from all over! And how many of us have actually sent letters to the people who will be making the decision about keeping or throwing away such a priceless treasure? Small steps lead to big places... Hope to see ALL of you and your fellow genealogists in Lansing on Wednesday. 3. Unfortunately, Nancy, I will not be able to do so, hence the suggestion of placards of the names of those who use HAL online resources along with the cities they are of.
