Hello, I have just joined this List to ask if anyone is researching the KIDDER surname. I have been researching my line of KIDDER's for about 13 years. My line pretty much remained in New England, with one man living in New Brunswick for a few years. After 1800 my KIDDER's remained along the Maine / New Brunswick border - until the present time. In addition to researching my ancestors, I also help George KIDDER in FL. He has spent maybe 20 years attempting to update the 1941 "KIDDER book." I have the "KIDDER book" on CD, so both George and I can help with KIDDER research. http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/1255/1255.htm When I do occasional look-ups, I find that many KIDDER men and/or families left New England or New York during the 1800's and "headed west." And, many of them went to the Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan area. Thank you for your time. We maintain the Michigan Marriage Index Database that has 154 marriage records for the KIDDER surname for most of Michigan's 83 counties. We maintain the list and attempt to connect the records with the researcher's email address. If interested we can send you a copy of the list. Hi Jack and Marianne, Thank you for telling me about this. Would you be sending it in an e-mail, or slow-mail? If it's a lengthy thing, then George KIDDER in FL would probably like it.
