G'day I am trying to research my grandfathers side of the family. His brother Thomas Garland Love emmigrated to America from Scotland some time between the two world wars. I suspect in the early 1930's. He settled in the Detroit area and worked as an insurance salesman. He married but I don't know his wifes name only that she may have been a Scottish girl. They had two children that I know of a daughter named Beverley and a son called Jackie. The sons real name may have been John or Jack. I know that they kept in touch with my grandparents but when my grandmother died we lost contact. Some family members think they may have lived in the Oakland area. I did trace the death of a Thomas G Love to Farmington Oaklands and he did have the correct birth date (9 Dec 1903). Whether this is him or not remains to be seen. Thomas would probably be dead by now but his children may still be alive. I believe that Beverley was born circa 1942.
