While searching for resource material for Detroit I ran across a set of films available through the local LDS to order from their main library. It is an Obituary card collection of the Downriver Genealogial Society, 1913-1999. Is anyone familiar with them? What I really would like to know is if they indexed all of the obituaries from the area newspapers or just those that society members would be interested in? I have a few people in the family that died in Detroit and that the family can not remember the dates for and are not in the SSDI. It would make searching down their death data so much easier.
