The wars represented by the soldiers buried in this cemetery are- War of 1812-two veterans, both with new military stones. Black Hawk War (1832) -one veteran, he was a new military stone. Civil War- (1861-65) - nine veterans, 5 with new military stones. Spanish/American War (1898) - one veteran We at the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil will represent the veterans of the Civil War. The Black Hawk War Society is planning on representing our only veteran of that war. We are also hoping to have speakers on the War of 1812 and the Span/Am War also. Maybe some surprises! Re-enactors in period dress representing each war are expected. Please get back to me so I can make sure we included you in our plans if you can join us in remembering these most deserving men and their sacrifices they gave for our country!
