I have been looking all over the internet for a Michigan Website that shows Michigan County Maps, listing the Townships for a given county, and the cities, towns and villages in that township. No luck.. You'd think that Michigan.gov (The State Website) would link to such basic information... Of specific interest is: in what Township is Wayne, Michigan located? I want to search the 1920 Census for Wayne, MI., and Genealogy.com US Census doesn't have a search function for 1920.. so I have to browse each township. Thanks Frank Rowell Tucson, AZ

Frank, You may want to try this web site: Michican Township Association. http://www.michigantownships.org/home.htm Click on the Township Map on the home page, the first block on the next page...look down to "Search for Township or County"...click on that link and you should be able to search. It's a bit "quirky" to use but it actually pops up with the name of the county and contact information for that county or other info depending on what name you click on. Frank, Try Michigan Place Names http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/mi_places/ no maps but a searchable database of Michigan place names, with townships that they are in. Wayne the community is in Nankin Twp., Wayne County Wayne Township is in Cass County Good luck in your search!
