Thanks for your targeting Cross Village. I have David and Grace ( last name Commoc) and 4 children there. Next problem is that I find is D& G last name Cormick in a township of Holmes in Mackinac in 1870 pg 16of 24. Census shows Holmes, Moran and St. Ignace. Current maps do not show Holmes? There was a lighthouse there because D&G where living with the lighthouse keeper. Modern day map shows Township of Holmes but in Menominee, too far from the area of 1870. any ideas?
