    2. Hi, I am looking for descendants of Charles and Eliza (DRAPER) BROOKS. Charles was born in Vermont abt. 1790 and died in Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County on August 21, 1868. Eliza was born abt. 1797 and also died in Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, MI, August 31, 1868. They are both buried in Elsie, MI. They had 6 children, all of whom were born in NY. I found Charles and Eliza living in Orleans County, NY in the 1850 census. Their children were: 1.Morrison 2. Almira, who was born in 1815 and died in Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, MI in 1895. She married William H. DUNHAM on October 26, 1835 in Westmoreland, Onieda County, NY, and moved first to Ohio and then to Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, MI. She is buried in Elsie MI. Almira and William had 6 children: Charles H., married to Katherine "Kitt" DOWNIE, Clarissa Melinda, who married Aretus S. SANDERSON, George William, married to Sarah, Evelina Cornelia, who married Oscar F. PIERCE, William, whose wife was Perlie R. AUSTIN, and Walter, who married Anna DRAPER. 3. Maryette (spelled, incorrectly, "Maraett" in the 1850 census) was born June 7, 1819 and died in Fairfield Township, Shiawassee County, MI on April 14, 1909. She married Edwin HOISINGTON, who died at Andersonville Prison. Maryette in buried in Elsie, MI. Maryette and Edwin had 6 children: Charles W., whose wife's name was Mary, Sarah, who married a Mr. OMEIGH, Clara A., married to Warren BROWN, Ida E., whose husband was Mr. SHEPARD, George, married to Alice SMITH, and Betsy. 4. Rosette, born abt. 1822 5. William R., born May 5, 1825, and died September 29, 1909. William married Hannah M. ALDRICH in 1851. They had 2 sons: Frank, born abt. 1854, and Fred, born abt. 1858. William died in Grand Rapids, MI. 6. George, born about 1829 If any of these names sound familiar, I would love to hear from you. Leota Kajdas
