The name "Jim McConnell" sounds familiar to me, but if he worked for the MDE, I didn't know him personally. I was in special education office, first working for Rich Baldwin, and after he retired, I worked for the now current director, Jackie Thompson. I knew the Detroit Sp. Ed.
