Saganing, MI is located in Arenac County. It was an Indian settlement until about 1871 when they began to move away and white families began to come in. This village on the Saganing River (Standish Township), was given a station on the Mackinaw division of the Michigan Central Railroad. Samuel R. Hoobler became the first postmaster on July 26, 1876. The post office discontinued operation on July 29, 1878 and reestablished on December 16, 1885. It was renamed Worth on November 2, 1886. Then became the Saganing Post Office again on February 6, 1897 to March 14, 1914.
