Try contacting the Department of Human Services through the Michigan government in Lansing. http://www.michigan.gov/dhs If you contact them, maybe they can point you in the direction that you need to look at. They may know of an Adventist adoption agency from 1904. They have information on agencies that are closed and where their paperwork is being held. Access to birth records is restricted if they're less than 100 years old, in Michigan. Good luck.
