I'am researching the descendants of Philip Matthews, who came from Canada and settled in Alpine Mi (Kent Co) in the 1840's. His children were John Matthews m. Charity Smith, James Matthews, and Margaret Matthews m. Morgan L.Card and she lived in Ottawa Co. John Matthews had 13 children and 7 lived to adulthood.
