Hi I just found this listing in the Hancock polk directory 1916-1917 My great great grandfather was Henry Karppinen . What is the finnish Lutheran Book Concern. where can I find one and where was Frenchtown what dose bds 87 mean .As his age is not listed I do not know for sure if this my Henry but I would like to find out more Robin Karppinen Henry, printer Finnish Lutheran Book Concern, bds 87 Frenchtown

It probably means he was a Boarder at 87 Frenchtown bds=board and 87=house number and the Frenchtown is most likely the Street. Anyone else have any ideas for Robin?
