    1. [MI-GENEALOGY] Joseph M, Thomas H. Rogers
    2. Dorothy Hagerty
    3. JOSEPH M and Thomas H Rogers were possibly twins born in Palmyra, Wayne County, NY in 1805. I've found nothing to validate that date and place. Is it possible they could descend from Israel and Moses Rogers? In the 1810 census, Moses was in Camillas, Onondaga, New York with two males under ten. In 182o, he was still in Camillus. In 1840 he was in Southfield, Michigan. IN 1850 he was in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his occupation listed as cradlemaker. Thomas H. was also a cradlemaker, JOSEPH was a miller who at one time had a farm/agricultural business as well as three grist mills - both in Ann Arbor.. On the US IRS tax assessment - 1862...Moses is listed as dealing in farming tools which developed into a substantial business in Ann Arbor. In 1863 Thomas H. is listed as earning his living from "various sources". Joseph M. is listed as engaging in "Merchantile Pursuits". This was all in Ann Arbor. Thomas moved to Ohio. When in Ann Arbor, JOSEPH was married to JUlia Sheffield. JOSEPH M is my primary interest as my gggrandfather. He stayed in Ann Arbor until 1880 when he went to Placerville, Eldorado, County, California where his son, William H. Rogers, possibly by his second marriage, had built a mill. William H. was an early postmaster in Placerville and a sheriff in Eldorado County. He moved to LosGatos where he purchased the Forbes Mill. JOSEPH leased the Niles flour mill which is now part of Fremont, CA. JOSEPH died in Placerville, CA in February, 1892. Considering all the similarities does that make it feasable I'm on the right track? HELP! and thanks, Dorothy Hagerty
