When did city directories begin for Pontiac, MI? What about Royal Oak? Are any of these on film? Thanks, Kay

Hi! I have in my list the earliest city directory for Pontiac as 1911 (Although this might not be right...) Royal Oak is more than likely included in the Detroit and surrounding area books that started in the late 1800s. Familysearch.org would more than likely have them on film if you look up Royal Oak or Pontiac (leave off the county and it pops up in their list of search terms).
