I meant the state of TEXAS, look up for the surname MARVIN. wooooooops. I did not know TEXAS was also in Michigan. But, then again this is a Michigan message link. DUMMY ME! So, since I'M here I'll ask. I am looking for surnames in Michigan also. KALTEICH, PULTE. Also can anyone tell me where the records are kept for property that was given to a person from the state of Michigan, tax free in perpetuity, that can never be sold, but just handed down to family members after death. I know that sounds strange but that was what happened to my Great Grandparents, OTTO and MARIE KALTEICH for services rendered during the flu epidemic in Michigan in the late 1800s early 1900, not really sure of the date.
