I'm looking at some census information and am having trouble deciphering some elegant handwriting. The occupation listed on the 1870 census, appears to be "Huckster" - I doubt that today's definition would apply. Has anyone seen this "Huckster" listed as a trade or profession in that era? I am so excited I just had to tell some one else besides my unexcited hubby. I have been looking for information on Morris Reed, I have his Civil war ID Card but it never gave his first name, I painstakingly finally found his name compiled the info and sent it to the NARA and they found him. I found out his fathers name, what his weight/height/hair color/eye color everything, I am so excited!!!!
