    3. Nancy, Al and everyone, Thanks for your responses. I run Ad-Aware every night and have good virus protection otherwise. I had been on the program a long time that night (I found a new branch!!!), and I think this reaction could be FamilySearch's response to software - ie, GenSmarts - but I don't have that program. About 20 minutes later the program resumed. Thanks again, Donna -----Original Message----- From: Al Allum [mailto:alallum@comcast.net] Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 8:20 AM To: kinshipmatters@twmi.rr.com Subject: Re: [MI-Genealogy] FamilySearch - question Hi Donna, If you don't have a program that searches for information that you can change the options of, you just might have a "virus". Be sure you have a new anti-virus program that is updated to the latest date possible, like Norton Anti-Virus 2004, and run a full system scan. Also download and run the free versions of: Ad-Aware http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.ht ml?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5 Spybot-Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors Run them both and delete what they find. Run them every week. Good luck, Al ----- Original Message ----- From: "D.C." <kinshipmatters@twmi.rr.com> To: <MI-GENEALOGY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 1:46 AM Subject: [MI-Genealogy] FamilySearch - question > Has anyone received this message from FamilySearch?
