I am searching for an obituary for Charles Wing, whose last residence that I can find, in 1920, was Royal Oak, Oakland County, Michigan, in the household of his son, Parthenius Wing. His wife, Harriet, died in 1909 and is buried in the Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester Oakland County Michigan. Seeking Michigan only goes to 1920; I have written to various places in Rochester, but have not been successful in locating Charles' date of death. Thank you for any information -
Have you contacted the County Clerk at the Oakland County Courthouse? They should be able to give you that information, even if you choose not to invest in a death certificate. You can narrow it down some by assuming that he died after - but possibly not long after - 1920. They were very helpful when I was researching down there. Probably there is a website online for them with contact information. Google "Oakland County Clerk" or some such and see what you find.
