    1. [MI-GENEALOGY] The Baby Peregrine
    2. John Long
    3. Peregrine White was my 10G Uncle. I know he married Sarah Bassett… she, a product of Elizabeth and William Bassett. I know they had at least six issue. Not much known abt four of them. Names and alleged b. dates, only. But, a wee bit more concerning Daniel and Sylvanus White, two of their sons, and their issue. Should any of you out there in the wide blue yonder be interested… maybe we each have some data which would be of mutual interest… which we could share… don’t you know. I may be reached thru the MI web site or my private email… if you should prefer… but please, keep it private… only for Genealogy purposes. John E Long longjohn144@gmail.com

    3. You can start by going to http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=120689 7516187#p=0 One the map of comes up, click on North Anerica. Then scroll down the list until you come to Michigan data. If you go to marriages, and enter Eli Han, you will find his marrige to Mable. Plus you will find data on five kids. If you then enter Mable Han, her marriage to Wm. Aldrich comes up. The play with Krabill. The marriage of John and Nancy Snyder is there. I'll let you play with it. ----- Original Message ----- From: <KMat591230@aol.com> To: <mi-genealogy@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 16, 2009 4:46 PM Subject: [MI-GENEALOGY] X Michigander Needs some Help > > > What I am trying to find is, marriage license's, and any information you > can figure out on a Krabill/Krabell person, Mable Mae Schmunsler was > married to a Eli Allen Hahns (is the way my family spells it but have seen it > spelled Hans) > > We have information that she divorced Eli sometime after 1911, and her > marriage to William Aldrich was about 1919. > > She then married a Krabill, before her marriage to William Aldrich, > When Mable and Eli Allen divorced, he took son Eli William with him, they > appear in 1920 census in Jackson Mi, living with John P. 2. What I am trying to find is, marriage license's, and any information you can figure out on a Krabill/Krabell person, Mable Mae Schmunsler was married to a Eli Allen Hahns (is the way my family spells it but have seen it spelled Hans) We have information that she divorced Eli sometime after 1911, and her marriage to William Aldrich was about 1919. She then married a Krabill, before her marriage to William Aldrich, When Mable and Eli Allen divorced, he took son Eli William with him, they appear in 1920 census in Jackson Mi, living with John P. Krabill, and Nancy E Krabill who is the daughter (we think)of Peter Hahns / Hans Sr. and his wife Nancy Peffly??? We can find nothing on the Krabill (Krabell) person or the William Aldrich. There has been a lot of wrong information put out that has nothing to do with our family. It appears that Nancy Pefflry was married to a Snyder before her marriage to John P . Krabill, according to a 1920 census. Most of this information that I have is from a living family member, and the area involved is Lansing. The question of is there any relationship between Ann Mote And John Mote is another we are trying to solve. Thank you to any one out there that can help. 1. Re: [MI-GENEALOGY] Oh where Oh where....
    2. Searching by County is not going to be easy. Michigan has 83 counties. Because you have a possible/probable date of marriage, you might want to try the records office in Lansing. Michigan State Vital Records Office 201 Townsend Street Capitol View Building, 3rd Floor Lansing, Michigan 48913 (517) 335-8666 The cost for the record is $26.00. Good Luck I hope this information will be helpful to your research. Susan L. Here is my problem.... they are from Southern Illinois. All the areas around there (checked each county court) do not show them married in Illinois. They gave birth to my husband in Highland Park in 1949. Two living relatives remember hearing something about being married in Michigan. The closest record I have is they were married Sept (20) 1946... because... my father in law died in July 1976 and my mother in law was heard saying that they would have been married 30 years in September. I found the date in another family history booklet, but the authors have no idea where they found the "20th" (the author is now 93) So... without spending a fortune writing each county (paying the search fees which I hear run anywhere from $25 - $45 each) in the Detroit area... Is there someone out there that could at least narrow down this information as to where they were married and confirm a date? I don't know if there is a database out there that lists marriages in the 40's, or if there is someone who has one of those paid subscriptions to those "vital records checks" that would not mind doing a look up for me? Or if someone works with or visits these county courts? Any help in this 2+ year search would greatly be appreciated.... The hair is turning gray by the day and close to being pulled out! 1. Re: [MI-GENEALOGY] Tormey akd Settlemier
    2. I went to the SSDI. I put in the birth date of June 8, 1922. First name June. SS issued in Michigan. I got 4 women. 1. BOWER, JUNE - 371-20-9703 Birth: 08 Jun 1922 - Death: Jul 1986 Last Residence - 48058 (Michigan) Last Benefit - (none specified) 2. DALBECK, JUNE N - 380-16-0505 Birth: 08 Jun 1922 - Death: 20 Aug 1994 Last Residence - 83866 (Santa, Benewah, ID) Last Benefit - 83830 (Fernwood, Benewah, ID) 3. TRYAN, JUNE R - 380-16-9830 Birth: 08 Jun 1922 - Death: 28 Nov 1999 Last Residence - 49837 (Gladstone, Delta, MI) Last Benefit - (none specified) 4. LAMBDIN, JUNE S - 383-14-0968 Birth: 08 Jun 1922 - Death: 06 Sep 2006 Last Residence - 48118 (Chelsea, Washtenaw, MI) Last Benefit - (none specified) We can rule out person # 1 because she died before George Tormey (1987). You might want to try for death certs, obits or SS-5's for the other 3 women. I would try person # 4. Wastenaw County is west of Wayne County. I hope this information will be helpful to your research. Susan L. Warner Saginaw, Michigan In a message dated 5/13/2009 7:09:38 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, kilrushlady@gmail.com writes: I am looking for suggestions as where to locate information on the following person - she is our brick wall. June Tormey or (Settlemier) born 8 Jun 1922. She is the daughter of Josephine Tennant and George Dewey Settlemier. The mother died mysteriously in Detroit on 10 Oct 1927 and is buried in Parkview Cemetery in Detroit. The father left the children in Detroit, going back to Oregon and started another family. The last I found of June was on the 1930 census living with her grandmother, Olive Tormey. The children were never formally adopted. The four children scattered - We do not know who she married if she did. The last we know of June, is that she was mentioned in her brother's (George Tormey) obituary when he died in 1987. No last name was referenced but that she lived in Detroit. So, one of my questions, would be is there a marriage index for MI that lists maiden names and/or a death index that would reference her maiden name. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't know Edmund's place (Michigan) or date of birth except that the GEDIS says he was 4 months and 7 days old when he died which would make his BD November 11, 1884, I believe.
