    2. I think that if you go to _www.AncestralQuest.com_ (http://www.AncestralQuest.com) there will be instructions for purchase. I bought the users manual (400+ paages) which gives very good instructions. Have included photos as well and think this prog is great. If this doesn't work, email me again and I will dig up the address. drohr. In a message dated 6/19/2009 4:32:01 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, csmk62@aol.com writes: Hi Dick... 1. [MI-GENEALOGY] Need info on Nastanska Sawicka
    2. Pat
    3. I am trying to help someone out by helping her look for any info on Nastanska Sawicka.  She was a widow when she came to the US with her brother Jan Sawicki.  She married Stanislaw Salik either in Mich, Pa. or Ct. Have not found any records as of yet.  The family lived in Ct from 1910 on.  She has found 3 brothers of Stanislaw Salik and no sisters, there are probably more but just can't find them.  The father of Stanislaw  was Franciszek born about 1860.  The brothers all listed Augustow as where they came from.   If anyone can help please let me know Pat

    3. I would like to take this time and say Thank you to everyone who posted to my question about Family Tree Maker 2009.  Some have said that they have had problems with it and wished they never tried to download it and then there were some that just loved it and couldn't say enough about it.  I still am at a toss up if I am going to use it, but for one thing I will make sure I make a back up of what I already have.   Thanks again Pat

    3. I am still using the one that came out in 2001. I download all kinds of original records from the LDS pilot site, ancestry and Heritage Quest. I have Civil and Rev. War. pension files. I put all of these in the scrapbook area. I have 50, 000 plus names. What advantages would there be to me updating. 1. [MI-GENEALOGY] Family Tree Maker 2009
    2. I upgraded to FTM 2009 earlier this year with nary a problem. I had signed up for the free "webinar" (now there's a new term thanks to computers and the Internet) and it gave me several helpful hints. Loading it was very simple, it grabbed on to all the data and converted it nicely. There are many new features on this version that are very useful, I'm finding more all the time. Their website / helpline is easy to use and informative. 3. Dear Linda,   When I first got my FTM 2009 I wasn't convinced I would like it either.  I kept using my older 2007 version until I realized that most all other programs on ancestry and other sites were using a similar pattern like the 2009.  I decided to use 2009 until I got use to it (changes sometimes are hard).  There are so may new functions in the 2009 that you can do.  One feature is the Web search.  You can do any web search on any indivdual and up pops everything that is in Ancestry.com's records.  Births, Deaths, Marriages, Censuses, Newspaper articles, war records (with footnotes) and on and on.  When you bring up these records you can merge them right into your records of that person.  No copy, no paste, no saving to another document and transferring to your own data base.  Also sources records are recorded along with the documents.  Change is what the future is all about.  I would suggest you keep your 2009 and work with it.  You will be glad that you did. 2. I am still using FTM 2005 because I had trouble using the newer versions. I tried them all and returned them because they were not user friendly as far as I was concerned. I also bought FTM 2009 and was put off by having to relearn how to do everything I can do automatically with FTM 2006. I was very unhappy that they totally changed the program. Frustrating.
