Trip Maker 2000 & the Michigan County Atlas Indicates that Cross Village is in the northern lower peninsula of MI in Cross Village Township, Emmet County, located about 12 miles due west of Levering, MI and roughly north-north-west of Pellston, MI about 15 miles. The town of Cross Village is on Lake Michigan and it lines up west to east with Cheboygan, MI, which is about 28 miles away on Lake Huron. I hope this helps you. Richard L. Hi, I am trying to find any information on Eliza Beardsley and William Parks. They had at least one daughter, Lillian-Lillie-Lilla Parks born around 1880 in Michigan. She married 1)Fred Warden and 2) William Garry Spencer. Lillie died around 1907. Eliza Beardsley was born in Lionville, PA around 1860. She married 1) William Parks, 2) ? maybe a Mr. Lord (Warren Lord born around 1895 was listed on census living with her) and 3) William Conkle. Eliza and Conkle had a son, Ralph. They lived in Pontiac. William Parks was born around 1840 in either New York or Pennsylvania. Any information on these people would be most appreciated. Kay

My grandfather Wilfred G. "WG" Shannon was a "Fusser" at the ball held on Friday, October, 22, 1915 at the Merrill Opera House (Eddy Street), Merrill, MI. Other "Fussers" that night were: John T. Hall, Arthur F. Hall, Walter W. Wirth, Henry J. Smith, Thomas G. Daley, Lindley A. Walking, William McCulloch, James Rust, Richard Hodges, William H. Rust, Bryan Cuthbertson and Ed Rogers. Anyone else researching these names and have an idea just what the Fussers Ball was? I'm thinking it was something like a "most eligible bachelor" thing because he met my grandmother Caroline "Musa" Warner there and they were married in 1917. Daley later became the Saginaw City Controller and he and WG were delegates to the GOP convention held in Detroit... Hi again, Looking on familysearch.com, I see a David McCormick in the Michigan census in Alpena, living in the household of a John Garigan. Info states that this David was born in 1856 in Ontario. Alpena is just straight across from Charlevoix/Beaver Island...I know the age is off by about 7 years, but that is not uncommon in census info. Just a possibility anyway...will go look there some more. Kathy

Could you help us with information regarding the following: Adam Bayer (born in Germany, August, 24, 1838) and Theresia Schultes (born in Germany, August 17, 1844 or 1845)? They married in Marquette, Michigan in the mid to late 1860's. They had 3 children born in Michigan: Robert, 1869; John, 1871; and Aulice, 1873. They then moved to Iowa. Adam worked in mining while in Michigan. I can find information concerning this couple after they moved to Iowa, but cannot find any information about them while they were in Michigan. Thank you.
Thank you, I have it. The mystery is where were they from 1870 to 1900? They had 7 children of which I found four. Mary's death certificate indicates her birth in in Middleton Mi. 1875. James was born in 1873, but where? Margaret was born around 1878. I have yet to find any record of them in the 1880 census???
