The information is correct, however, it _is_ IRA, not IVA as they have. He was my father in-law. Fortunately, someone has sent me Cornelia's death date. Now for her birth date--that would be a good thing. Her AKA was KATE, so Ancestry has that correct! Did they mention a Donald Hesselink as a brother to Bernice? And were there dates? They are all bur. in Riverside Cem., Kalamazoo, MI. Thank you again. Rev. Janice Heselink
Jan, I'm emailing you a copy of the 1880 U. S. Census, with info about Cornelia Vanadel, in Kalamazoo. I'll look for a burial in local cemeteries. Will contact you personally with what I find. Maryann Root Augusta, MI

George, Sorry, I do not have Heritage Quest access, but the name in the subject line, "Lafevre" caught my eye. One of my former co-workers was Robert Lafevre. I believe he retired around 2000-2001, and he lived in the Grosse Pointe area of Wayne County (eastern Wayne County). Redford is a city in central Wayne County, and it is also a township in Wayne County, too. Perhaps there is a relationship with the information you are looking for, perhaps not. He pronounced his last name as "La-FAVE." I'm including the address of our former employer. Perhaps they will give you a contact address or pass a letter along to Bob for you. That information is: Giffels, Inc. Human Resources Department 25200 Telegraph Rd, Suite 200 Southfield, Michigan, USA 48033 TEL: 248 936 8000 FAX: 248 936 8111 One final thought: the Burton Historical Collection is an excellent source for research. It is located at the Detroit Public Library in Detroit. Some information you may find on-line, but I believe they charge for membership to the library which can be pretty pricey. I also believe, but not positive, you can go through your local public library to access the collection, too. I am at a dead-end so any help would be appreciated. I think they came from Antrim and I think they left siblings there (if they hadn't died during the potato famine). Thank you. Laura Mooney
Does anyone know the date and place of death of Henry A. Levake? Henry A. Levake in the early 1800s was employed in the Lake Superior fur trade. On September 9, 1822, newly appointed Sault Indian agent Henry Rowe Schoolcraft issued Levake his license to trade at his trading post on Grand Island. He was also Chippewa County's representative in the State Legislature from 1835 to 1839. Thanks for your help.
