    3. Hi Mary, It seems that I heard the name "Crump" mentioned eons ago when I was very young. But I'm not sure. Should there be any possibility of a connection it would have to be by means of a marriage to one of my GG Uncles…Hiram, Horace, Franklin, Charles or Emmett…or my GG Aunts… Martha or Sarah. All Parks. Could, also, be by way of my Great Aunt Josephine; or, Great Uncles… Franklin, Arthur and George…again all Parks. I believe they were involved in the "lumber business" in some way or other all throughout the thumb area…and other parts of MI. Should you believe there's a possibility………get back with me. 1. [MI-GENEALOGY] Surname Soles
    2. Jeannie Stevens
    3. My grandfather was adopted less than a week after he was born by a Bertha and Richard Soles. Does anyone have any knowledge of the Soles family and does any one know of a baby boy left in a church in 1905 in Lansing Michigan? Desperate to find original family members. Thank you. Jeannie McIver PS - Bertha Soles later went on to marry a Howard Silwayne Stevens who never adopted my grandfather, but my grandfather took his last name and the family moved from Lansing Michigan to Colorado and then to Texas and Oklahoma area. Does any of this sound familiar to any one? Jeannie McIver __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! 1. [MI-GENEALOGY] HUMBLE (maiden name)
    2. Dave Gruzeski
    3. Hi,,, I am trying to locate my mother's aunt who lived in the Detroit Area, but unfortunately, I don't have a lot of information about her. She relocated from St. Louis to Detroit before the early 1950's. I believe she did marry, but I do not know any of the details. What do I know: Harriett (Hattie) HUMBLE born in Dec 1891 in St. Louis Parents were William HUMBLE and Elizabeth FUETTERER (or FUTTERER) If anyone has access electronically to do look up of obituaries in the Detroit area for the time period 1960 - 1990, I would appreciate a lookup for a maiden name of HUMBLE. If anyone has any recommendations for me to perform the research, any suggestions are welcome. -- Thanks in advance for your help! Dave Gruzeski

    3. Patiann…and others who may be interested in the "Park Family of Michigan" What I have learned “for sure” in my years of delving into family history and genealogy records is that nothing can be taken “for sure”. One distant cousin did a fabulous job tracing his name back to way before the Revolution, getting documented proof of every thing…he even went so far as to publish a book…over an inch thick…on his ancestors. He then decided to get involved in a DNA testing program which of course followed the male lineage. Results of the tests proved there was a “break” in his bloodline. He hadn’t expected that. Did great grandma do something rash when great grandpa wasn’t looking? Or, do I dare suggest…his mother? Or was there simply an adoption that no one recalls? That’s the reason, in all my writings, I always start off with… “It appears that George was born……” John

    3. Hello Patiann, Thanks so much for your effort on this. I do have a picture of my Great Grandfather George Parks and my Great Grandmother Lydia Margaret Gary-Parks. Her mother was Anthanet Morehouse Braley…going back to William White, of the Mayflower people coming over in 1620. George Parks is another story. I show that his parents were Lyman Parks and Jane Cole; both born and married in NY, died in Saginaw, MI. However, info from James H Taylor states George's parents were Eliza and Enoch W Parks. I have to get this clarified. I think my evidence that Lyman and Jane are his parents is quite convincing.
