unless you can find someone that is close by that can go and obtain one for you.. you can also write to the Wayne County Courthouse, Clerks office and ask for the info, they in turn will let you know what they need and there is usually a cost to obtain it... Yes, Georgia, I would be interested in a copy of your pedigree… there's a slight possibility that I may have a connection by way of a marriage. John
I have many connections in Michigan. My dad, George Ellsworth Houts was born in St. Joseph, Co., my mother, Ruby Calista Blakely was born in Eastport, Antrim Co., her parents were born in Redford Twp., Wayne Co., Michigan. I also have Miller, Martin, Crawford and Horner. Do I need to send a copy of my pedigree? Georgia Perkins at [email protected]
Many "New England" families resided for a while in "Upstate New York" before they migrated on to Michigan. Recent Blog activity on our Upstate New York Genealogy website at www.unyg.com has an easy to understand article about DNA testing for genealogical purposes. There is also a Blog about Ephemera for genealogy, and a full description about how to take advantage of all of the features of unyg.com. Tomorrow we will have a year's end review and predictions for 2008. Happy New Year to all of our readers, Dick Hillenbrand. Upstate New York Genealogy www.unyg.com
Hi Patiann, You mention you are looking for BEST in Michigan. Do you think you connect to my ggg-grandmother, Gertrude BEST baptized 4 Apr 1808 in Middleburg, Schoharie County, New York, USA d. 6 Mar 1867 buried in Stimpson Cemetery in East Leroy, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA? In about 1829 she married Calvin TIFFANY born between 1801 and 1808 in New York (maybe Albany County), died between 1838 and 1850. They had at least four children who I know about. She later married Henry BECKETT died 6 Mar 1876, buried next to her in Stimpson Cemetery. I have information about her ancestors going back to 1590 and could share. I am particularly searching for more information about her first husband, Calvin, such as exact birthdate, date and place of death. I have a lot more information about his 9 brothers and sisters than about him. No I'm not. I haven't really been in touch with Bradley Tibbets Sr since my sister divorced him. I will pass on the information to my nephew that is in Marion, IN. I do know where Coldwater is at. I go through that way when I go to Grand Rapids to see my family that is there. There's not very many that are left and I need to start getting more information before they're all gone.
