I am searching for the following: (Orange/Oranje/Orangie/Oraenije, TeWinkle's (el's and Zeedyk's. It is my understanding most originated in the Netherlands. Those that came to America mostly came via the Netherlands, some from England. Any help on the above names would really be helpful. Bruce

Are there any PENLY's or PENLEY's in the Michigan Marriage Index Database ? The name may be written either PENLY, or, more commonly, PENLEY. Joseph 1 PENLY arrived in Freeport, ME in 1770. He 1st m 1780 Esther 5 FOGG JOHNSON and 2m 1797 Thankful MOODY. A gs removed to Ontario and aft abt 1860 some of his descendants started moving back and forth between Canada and MI. Other descendants moved from ME > MA and NY by the mid 1800's, with some of them later moving on to OH, IN, MI, IL, WI, ND, SD, MN, KS, CO, etc. The late Rev Robert Irving 6 PENLEY 1909 - 1996, who retired to Scarborough, ON, did major research from the 1930's - 1970's. Several distant cousins and I are now trying to find as many of Joseph 1 PENLY's descendants as we possibly can in an attempt to bring Robert's compilation up-to-date. This includes all the daus, gdaus, G gdaus, etc that we can locate. Joseph 1's daus b 1781 - 1810 ME married DAVIS, HACKETT, HAINES, MITCHELL, and VICKERY in ME. They first resided in the Freeport area, but removed to Danville in 1792. Many of Joseph's ch and gch lived in the Lewiston / Auburn area before removing to other areas of ME and out-of-state. I am looking for information on the Crowder family. They emigrated from Canada to Saginaw. My g-grandfather, Moses J. Crowder and grandfather, Harvey Raymond and his brother Stanley eventually moved to central Florida. Any information is appreciated. Gail M.
