Nancy, Wow! Thank you for that information. It's a long shot - but needs to be looked at more closely to see if it is one and the same Andreas. We have searched in Australia and New Zealand for Andreas and only recently discovered his emigration record to Michigan. Many thanks again. Gayle
My Gt Grandfather, Andreas Christiansen b August 29 1849 in Runsevolle under Horteie, Norway left in 1881 on the Germanic, destination Bay City, Michigan, (listed as Andreas Kristensen) His wife came to New Zealand with 5 children. We can find no further record of where Andreas went or what happened to him. Where do I start looking in Michigan? Many thanks. Gayle

Beginning to see a pattern with some of my ancestors who died in Kent County of the flu! After looking at those dates for years; now suddenly since we are able to get the death record I find what actually happened and have a closer understanding of that time frame. **************Join ChristianMingle.com® FREE! Pat Do you have access to Ancestry? There is a Susanna Sawitzka married to John Jacob Bolda with a child Agnes, born 1903, that I think?might be?your people. However there is no mention of Clara. It is listed under Velasco Family Tree, and has an email to contact the person who posted it. If this is the right family, that would give a couple more bits of info to follow up on.
