In my last posting regarding the "early settlers" and the listing of "stewards and servants"..... there are experienced researchers on this list and in regards to the date of settlement and the term "servants" by Stackpole when the term should have been "hired hands" in this instance. Stackpole on page 25 and 26 seems to mix the terms of "servants" and "hired hands" which makes it confusing to the reader. ie. 8 Danes is on the list as I posted....but those who have seen old manuscripts state that the 8 Danes could have said "8 hands", its possible with trying to decipher old writing. The names on the list as quoted by Stackpole ""the orgin of the document is not stated. There is a good reason to believe that the list is reliable.
