"Few of the burial places of the earliest pioneers can be identified. ... Clayton's History of York County, Maine ... records that the grave of John Gordon was on the H F Moore property in 1880. On 2 Aug 1966, with the present owner Mr Alfred Kimball, I visited the old stone walled graveyard, but though we searched the ground, no trace of head stones or foot stones could be found.
