Sharon Sargeant informed us today that as of April 1 the rates at Massachusetts Vital Records will be double what they are now. Quite a jump considering all the money we family researchers put out for this wonderful hobby. I live in Indiana - NW Indiana at that. Should I take a vacation week and make a mad dash to Massachusetts to get the records I need before I can't afford them? That's a decision I haven't yet made. If I do decide to go I'll probably be leaving late afternoon on Monday. It will take me two days to get there. I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know what the weather and the traveling conditions are supposed to be this week. I'd be taking Route 90 through Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts. VITAL RECORDS IN MAINE - The main thing I'm writing for now is to ask if anyone knows what is happening in Maine as far as vital records are concerned.
