    3. Hello, I?m trying to trace my Clay family in Buxton and Biddeford and am looking for birth, marriage, and death records from this man going backwards. RICHARD CLAY b. Buxton, York Co., August 17, 1779; came to Pittston, 1799; m. Olive Bradstreet, May 17, 1803; he d. Sept. 29, 1848; she d. 1818; 2d wife, Rebecca Purrington, widow of James, m. 1819. Children, <snip> http://www.rootsweb.com/~megardin/clay.gif I'd be glad to know of on-line resources, or where I should write for records from this time. Also, would anyone be able to tell me how to order York County court records? I have more, and some from Kennebec, too. 3. Cyndi's List = http://www.cyndislist.com " " having earned over 32 million visits, this resource rewards genealogists of every skill level, in at least all regions. I think it questionable if any of you will find nearly as much information (with source attribution!) from all your usergroups combined, as one will by exploring the links in "Cindi's List". This prompted by a query (see below for details) about 3 PM EDT seeking sources for Clay family of Buxton & Biddeford, ME 1700s (One may recall that SACO and BIDDEFORD were each under the name of the other at various times in their twin-city history.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Hagedorn" <linda.hagedorn@ireland.com> To: <MEYORK-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 18, 2003 2:44 PM Subject: [MEYORK] Clay family in Buxton and Biddeford, mid-1700s, included: "PLT 600691 CCP 10-137 Execution 1734 7" * ~~~ ^ ~~~~~~~~~ ^ *^ Looked cryptic at first glance, but if we're going to execute defendants in our great land, balanced justice <g> may conclude that a few plaintiffs ('PLT' above) may also deserve "Execution". ~ Ted Chadbourne, Chadbourne Family Association http://www.chadbourne.org

    3. Are you convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that the index entry you are referring to is a CRIMINAL case? Where is the preponderance of evidence to show that this index entry is a criminal case instead of a civil case? In a civil case the JUDGMENT would be executed.
