    1. Re: [MEYORK] Brennan, Biddeford Catholic Church?
    2. Debbie... thank you so much. Mary Jane BRENNAN, b 1872 or 1874 in Salmon Falls, ME, dau of William & Mary Jane Brennan.... According to her marriage record, & 1900 census Her children all indicated that their mother was b. ME in various censes 1.In the Biddeford, York 1870 Census there is Wm. Brinnan (40, b. 1830), Margaret (25), Mary J (5, b. 1865) plus 2 smaller children. I don't find anyone in this family in the 1880 census. 2. In the Dover, Stafford, NH 1860 census there is Wm Brennan (30, b. 1830), Elisabeth (29), Mary (3), Eliz (8 mo) I don't know if these 2 Wm Brennans are the same w/2 different families. & it seems unlikely that Mary Jane would have "knocked" 7 years off her age (Her husband Charles Pembun was b. 1867) but other women in our family have fudged their ages & gotten away w/it! 3. There's a much more likely Brennan family in 1880 New Haven, CT: Wm Brennan (44), Mary Ann (42), Ellen (16), Mary J. (7, b. 1873), Martin (3) but this Mary Jane was not born in Maine. At any rate, I think the Brennan family we're looking for lived in the Salmon Falls area in the 1860s. Margot
