    2. Does anyone have any information about a William Kerley, a seaman of Lancaster, MA who was married to Mary Bowden/Boaden, daughter of John and Grace Bully Bowden of Saco, ME - in Boston in 1703 by Cotton Mather? They were said to have lived in ME. I've found Kerles in Hanover, ME much later and wondered if there was a relationship to William. Also, Kittery is ringing bells for me. Thanks, Judy Schreiber

    2. Linda DeRosa
    3. Dear Linda, A Friend I work with told me me of a old gravesite that borders her property. Theres a Dependance Cottle (along side a Betsy Mills Died Feb.7, 1868) in this site. There are no borders around this graveyard so it has long since been forgotten. The site is in Lebanon, Maine. The stone says she died August, 1877. Is there any information you could give me on this lady and or could you put her on a list of cottles in southern Maine so that her family can find her. She has fascinated my friend and I to the point that we just got to find out who she was. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Norm Cox

    1. [MEYORK] Remember---ALWAYS VERIFY THE SOURCE ! regarding Stackpole
    2. I do not want to start a discussion on any of the lists about Philip's posting but I felt that the statement was incomplete... -- I concur with Phil in regards the incomplete index in Old Kittery and Her Families....such as missing omissions, not in alphabetical order, etc., BUT, these are not serious errors, and the reason I state this is because many of the OLD BOOKS were NOT INDEXED...and if this one is missing some here and there, so what! a serious searcher will find the information whether it's indexed or not. -- When one posts to lists, the receiver should ALWAYS VERIFY THE SOURCE...regardless of from what or where the information came from...do not take anything for granted...as NO ONE was or is perfect.... not even Stackpole, Dow, Torrey ,or any other author, living or dead. -- Books are a good starting point for researchers...often have good information and often give clues as to what or where to search... I consider book sources a "helping hand" and that's all they should be.
