Dear List: This is a broadcast message sent as a service to genealogists (see below): Ray Sears of Ray Sears <lrsears@capecod.net> wrote in part: "The Making of America Project at U Mich (8,000 books, 2,000 articles) is a boon to all of us who don't have easy access to New England Libraries." He provided a direct link to "The History of Cape Cod" as http://www.hti.umich.edu/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=moa;idno=aja2089.0001.001;view=toc and an alternative to the MOA main page as http://www.hti.umich.edu/m/moagrp/ I visited the MOA main page and was impressed by both the search engine, the quality of the imaging of books, and the fact that, besides being able to view material on-line (and print it out) one can purchase printed copy, including whole books, for what I consider a nominal fee. I immediately began to browse "History of Lynn, Essex Co., Massachusetts: Including Lynnfield, Saugus, Swampscot, and Nahant" by Alonzo Lewis and James R. Newhall. I found that there are three ways to view page content: in image form, in text form and in PDF format. I found I could only print out material which was in PDF format, probably due to the way I had set up my browser ....no big deal... The search engine for the website is extremely powerful, and likely to provide more references than desired, so it is best used employing Boolean arguments to be accessed with the "Other Searches" button. If you have a website, it might be well to provide a link to MOA. The service UMICH is providing is so great it would serve them well if you forwarded this message to other genealogists. For this purpose you may quote my message in whole or in part. Thanks, Eugene Hubbard

I'm looking for a "local" or other knowledgeable soul who can help me locate what MOCA describes as the "John Johnson Cemetery" in South Sanford near the airport and the junction of Rte. 109 and the "old 109". It contains a half-dozen or so graves including my ggg-grandfather, the aforementioned John. I went there. I looked. And looked, and looked... I'm convinced it's in someone's back yard and ask for your help. Raymond Wm. I would like to know any information these might contain about the GRANT family. Thanks! NEHGS list these two items in their research library. Author: Warren, Vanetta (Hosford), b. 1894. Adriel Warren of Berwick, Maine; his forebears and descendants. Author: Warren, Vanetta (Hosford), b. 1894. A supplement to Adriel Warren of Berwick, Maine (pub. 1964) : fifth in line from James Warren of Kittery, who came to America in 1650. They're at 101 Newbury Street in Boston or online at http://www.newenglandancestors.com I just joined this past weekend and after two hours in their library added considerable information to enter into my own genealogy database and lots more to investigate. If a visit is not feasible for you, they will do research for a fee and send results via mail. Details on web site.

Does anyone have information on the children of Ebenezer Boyd? He was born in Newburyport, MA in 1768 and died in 1841. He came from Boston to Portland with his brothers Robert Boyd, Joseph Coffin Boyd, John Parker Boyd and William Boyd. He later left the life of a merchant and became a Baptist minister. I'm looking for the names and DOB of his children. Also, the same for William. I have a lot on the other brothers but can't seem to locate info on children of Ebenezer and William. Thanks for any help. Linda
