I have worked on this line for 25 years and I have tried to connect several different Fathers for John Franklin but to no avail. I still believe his father was Elisha Walden, but because of lack of paper trail before 1800 I have been unable to prove. I went to Washington County, Tennessee in 1979 to do research but had no luck whatsoever. I hope with the info below someone can help me make a connection. Generation 1 JOHN FRANKLIN WALDEN was born 1817 in Washington County Tenn., and died July 22, 1876 in Paris, Illinois. He married REBECCA D. BROWN November 21, 1835 in Carter County, Tennessee, daughter of CONRAD BROWN and ELIZABETH BOWLS. She was born 1817 in Tennesse, and died September 17, 1899 in Paris, Illinois.
