Dear June, Our Meyers is an unending mystery. John Casper Meyers lived in N.J., his first wife passed away and at 50 he married a younger lady and moved to Brooklyn about 1875. Two of his children were born in the Pittssburg area so they lived there for awhile and then moved back to Brooklyn. He died and she was still young with a houseful of children- so all the real estate holdings that he had she sold off piece by piece to keeep roof over head. He was an engineer and a lay Methodist minister. He was white, and that is all we know about him. We think he may have been born in the U.S., that would be 1825ish - but we don't really know that for sure. So- that is my Meyers- I don't know if that helps you any. Joyce Bowen Valrico, FL
