Hello: I don't know if I can help any on this, but My Grandma, Louisa Christina [Schott]Myers, had a sister, Johanna, that married an Anthony Kunkel, I think, in Mt. Sterling ,Illinois. There might be some connection here, I don't know. I have no information on the Kunkels, except they had a son . I can't remember his name. I may have it in some of my material. My Grandfather, Jacob Myers, family came from Pennsylvania. Hope this might give you a clue. Does anyone have a Elisabeth Meier/Meyer (s) that was born in 1810 in Lancaster County PA? I know she married Rudolph Kunkel and they had two daughters, Hanna b. 1842 and Amanda b. 1849. They farmed for a while in Hopewell Twp, Cumberland Co, PA and then moved back to Ephrata, Lancaster Co, in their later years. I can't locate information on Elisabeth anywhere. Can you help? He was married to a women named Alice she was born July 20,1891 and died Sept.29,1975, they are both buried in California. Edward Meyers is the birth father of my grandfather David Moug, who was adopted by Edward Meyers mother Nettie and his step-father David Moug.
