My grandfather George Henry Meyers' family was very elusive and mystical. His parents lived in Overlea in their later years, but before that I couldn't say where they lived. I grew up in East Baltimore and there were only two other Meyers' that I knew at that time. Both of these weren't related to my family or at least I can't find a connection. She was born Margaret Ellen Taggart in about 1841 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana, the daughter of Daniel and Susanna (Wilkins) Taggart. On 7-7-1862 she married George Hoover in Miami County, Indiana. In 1918, an obituary for her brother Van Dallas Taggart referred to "Mrs. Margaret Meyers of Saline County, Kansas" as a surviving sister. She would have been approximately 77 years old at the time.
