Surnames: Meyer & Goodwin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oh0.2ACEB/1752 Message Board Post: My gGrandfather was: Rudolph Heinrich Meyer, Christened October 25, 1840 in Sankt Nikolai, Prenzlau, Brandenburg, Preussen. His parents are listed as: Carl Wilhelm Meyer & Juliane Henriette Bamann(no dates). Rudolph married Katherine (no maiden name) born same town abt 1853 or 1856. They moved at sometime to the US to Wisconsin. There first child Helen(Lena)Juliane Meyer (my Grandmother) was born 1871 in Wisconsin. There were 10-11 more children born from this marriage. The family moved to Natick at sometime. Rudolph & Katherine are buried in the family plot in Natick,MA. The Tombstones are very hard to read due to age. Lena married William A. Goodwin October 21, 1896. I have this date from the Goodwin family Bible. The Goodwin family were from Newburyport,MA unk where they maried. They had one child Gladys M. Goodwin(my Mother) born November 26, 1898, not sure where she was born either Cambridge,MA or Falmouth,MA. In 1910 they were living on Massachusetts Ave. in Falmouth, Barnstable,MA. William was 53, Lena was 39 & Gladys was 11. They owned their own home. I spent summers there as a child. I have an old family album of the Meyer family. The only person I can identify is my Grandmother, they are not marked or dated. I do have names of photographers imprinted on pictures.
