My father believes that he might have been adopted by an older sister or some other family member. He married Anna (b. Dec. 7 abt 1900) and had three children: Loretta, Melvin, and Eddie. They lived mostly in Concordia, MO. Erwin was probably born in 1896. He might have been adopted by Meta Meyer, who had 6 children, according to the 1910 census: Lawrance, Erna, Erwin, Stanley, Farrita, and Edna. Upon seeing the 1910 census papers, you notice that something was written on the "relation to head of house" line before "SON" was put there for both Stanley and Erwin. My father is convinced that both Anna and Erwin were not more than one generation away from Germany. If you have any information on Anna, Erwin, Meta or any of them, please contact me! Thanks.
