The legend is she carried her son (s) over ice and snow to get them away from consription (Franco Prussian War). Lewis died in the early part of the 20th century in his forties. The line stops there. Anyone else have such a legend? Do not know if she was in Germany, France or Prussia. I suppose she ended her days in Kentucky or Ohio, where Lewis was. Ironton? Thanks.
