He had no siters anna. A letter my parents had many years ago mentioned that Freds mother died around 1855. His father Jurgen Friedrich Meyer was born at Neetzendorf [Dahlenburg church archives ] His parents Johann Jurgen meyer born 1814at Radenbeck [ church thomasburg] a schafer married !> to Maria Behrens a Haswirths daughter in Neetzendorf. Two or three brothers survived infancy and one sister. Jurgen Friedrich Meyer married Catharina Margaretha Luhmann of Eichdorf. He was then a Hausler. This was Jurgen Heinrch Wilhlem Meyer born 1843., He married to Maria Dorothea Heins in 1873 at Oldendorf area. She was from Celle. In 1884 they came to usa destination Iowa where Fredrich was ready for them to come. Fredrich had gone to Galena then to Tete des Morts, jackson county Iowa [i may have mispelled it] He is in both census 1870 and 1880. His spelling of the name Meyer has been different through out his earlier years.> Fred was Landowner Living at Churdan Greene county by 1883.
