My main ancestor is Henry/Heinrich Frederick Meyer (1841-1922) who married Marie Müller. It is believed that he may have come from Kirchdorf, which is near Hanover and Bremen or possibly from Steyerberg. He may have had siblings in the area but due to the surname I cannot be conclusive. Three of his possible brothers/cousins married Horstmann sisters and I have seen the Hemker name at some point as well.
